Karenza vs. Te Araroa

I made the most of a trip up north for a friend’s wedding to check off this section. Just a short 9km, which I managed to do in 2 hours. This was absolutely my favourite section so far. I loved walking along the narrow pathways hugging the coastline. I lucked out with the tides too and managed to stick to the beaches, instead of walking around the streets.

Opua was such a cute wee place too. 10/10 recommend checking out the General Store by the wharf, particularly if you are feeling a little dusty the day after a wedding. It had lots of yummy options for snacks and drinks.
